BLACKSBURG, VA – A Montgomery County woman scored a six-figure win from the comfort of her home, claiming a $203,193 jackpot in the Virginia Lottery’s online Lotto Virginia game.

Cecilia “Cece” Yourshaw hit the progressive jackpot on a Friday evening while playing the digital lottery game on her device. Her win adds to a streak of good fortune — she previously hit a hole-in-one during a golf tournament.

Lotto Virginia is a progressive online game available through valottery.com and the Virginia Lottery mobile app. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 5,245,786, while overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 5.06.

The Virginia Lottery requires players to be at least 18 years old and physically located within the state to participate in online play.

All profits from the Virginia Lottery go toward K-12 public education. Montgomery County, where Yourshaw resides, received over $6.1 million in education funding from the Lottery in the last fiscal year.

In Fiscal Year 2024, the Lottery raised more than $934 million for education, accounting for roughly 10 percent of Virginia’s total K-12 budget.
