New York City Cop Arrested on Child Endangerment and Firearms Charges

QUEENS, NY — An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested early Sunday morning and charged within the jurisdiction of the 116th Precinct.

Jason Mcleod, a 37-year-old NYPD police officer, was taken into custody at 1:07 a.m. He faces charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Failure to Safely Store Rifles, Shotguns, and Firearms in the First Degree.

The department did not disclose further details regarding the incident or the circumstances leading to the arrest.
