Queens teacher busted for groping 15-year-old student in classroom

Incident reported months later

Police said Brian Greenspan, 53, was taken into custody at Martin Van Buren High School in Queens Village at approximately 1:19 p.m. on Friday. According to authorities, the incident occurred in December 2024 but only came to light the day before Greenspan’s arrest.

The 15-year-old victim told a friend that Greenspan had approached her at her desk, told her to sit down, and then allegedly patted her on the backside twice over her clothing, a police source said.

School alerts police

After the student disclosed the incident to her friend, the friend reported it to the school principal, who then contacted law enforcement. Greenspan, a New York City Department of Education employee, was arrested on school grounds the next day.

Multiple charges filed

Greenspan is facing charges of forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child, and third-degree sexual abuse. The NYPD confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
