Cranford’s Annual Kids Fishing Derby Hooks Community

CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department celebrated its 3rd Annual Cops & Bobbers Kids Fishing Derby with local children and officers gathering at Nomahegan Park. The event encouraged community interaction and participation between law enforcement and young residents.

Cranford Renewal by Anderson and Unity Bank generously sponsored the derby, expressing commitment to the community. Carmen Cerreto, Vice President of Unity Bank, played a significant role in supporting the initiative. This tradition aims to strengthen bonds and provide enjoyable outdoor activities for children.

The event witnessed notable participation, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm for engaging with local police officers. Children and officers, together at the park, shared fishing techniques and celebrated the day’s achievements. The derby showcased unity and cooperation within the community.
