Gunfire erupts in Bear: Man shot outside home on Red Lion Road, suspect on the run

BEAR, DE — A 34-year-old man was hospitalized early Saturday after being shot outside a residence on Red Lion Road, prompting an active investigation by the Delaware State Police.

Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 1:30 a.m. following reports of gunfire near the home. According to investigators, multiple shots were fired by an unknown suspect before the suspect fled in an unidentified vehicle heading southbound on Red Lion Road.
