Double shooting on Paton Avenue leaves one dead, another fighting to survive

BALTIMORE, MD — Gunfire erupted on Paton Avenue late Wednesday night, leaving one man dead and another seriously injured in a shooting that has now become the focus of a homicide investigation.

The violence was first reported around 9:40 p.m. on April 23, when Northwest District officers were alerted to a 29-year-old male who arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment for multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was listed in serious condition.

Shortly after, officers responded to the 3300 block of Paton Avenue, where they found a second victim, a 30-year-old male, also suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital but was pronounced dead by medical staff.
