Akron, OH — An Ohio Lottery player from Akron is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming a $1 million top prize on the VIP Millions scratch-off ticket, officials announced Monday.

The winner, identified as Arvind, purchased the $50 scratch-off ticket at Family Mini Mart, located at 3105 Forest Park Boulevard in Akron. Choosing the lump-sum cash option of $500,000, Arvind will receive approximately $360,000 after federal and state tax withholdings.

VIP Millions offers a top prize of $40,000 annually for 25 years, with a one-time cash option available. As of April 28, there are still 38 top prizes remaining in the game.
