$20 ticket in Akron turns into a six-figure payday for very lucky player

Akron, OH — A lucky Akron resident has won $150,000 playing the Ohio Lottery’s Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 100X scratch-off, lottery officials confirmed Wednesday.

The winning $20 ticket was purchased at Short Stop, located at 1690 Massillon Road in Akron. After federal and state taxes are withheld, the winner will receive approximately $108,000.

Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 100X offers a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of April 29, three top prizes still remain in circulation, along with many other cash awards.

The Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 100X ticket is part of a themed line of scratch-offs that has been delivering major wins across Ohio. The $20 game features multipliers and premium prize tiers, making it a popular choice among lottery players.

This latest win adds to the long list of Ohioans benefiting from the state’s extensive scratch-off lineup.


The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to public education since its founding in 1974. Proceeds from all lottery games, including Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 100X, go toward supporting education in the Buckeye State.
