North Plainfield police seek public’s help in vehicle burglary investigation

The North Plainfield Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle burglary that occurred in the early hours of May 1 on the 200 block of Belmont Avenue, officials announced Monday.

According to the department, the incident took place between 2:20 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. and was carried out by a suspect whose image was captured and posted on the department’s official Facebook page.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Domizi at 908-769-2971 or via email at adomizi@northplainfieldnj.gov.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted by emailing tips@northplainfieldnj.gov.

The investigation remains ongoing.
