Detectives from the Eastern District Strategic Patrol team arrested a 27-year-old man Monday evening in Pasadena after discovering a loaded handgun and confirming multiple felony warrants across state lines.

On May 5, 2025, at approximately 5:55 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a blue 2018 BMW 430i in the 8000 block of Edwin Raynor Boulevard. During the stop, detectives identified the driver as Ta’juan Anthony Anderson of Temple Hills, Maryland, who was wanted on open felony arrest warrants in multiple states.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of a .40 caliber Glock 23 handgun loaded with 11 rounds, found on the front passenger seat. Anderson, who is prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior convictions, was taken into custody without incident.

He was arrested and formally charged with multiple firearm violations in addition to being held on his outstanding warrants.
