New York State Troopers welcome veterans home from Honor Flight at Syracuse airport

Members of the New York State Police Troop D joined in honoring veterans returning from Honor Flight Syracuse – Mission 22 at Syracuse Hancock International Airport on Saturday.

The Honor Flight program transports America’s veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit memorials built in their honor. The May 3 mission brought veterans back home after a day dedicated to recognizing their service and sacrifice.

Troopers were present at the airport to greet the veterans, standing in a show of respect and appreciation for their contributions to the country.

“It was an honor to stand in gratitude and respect for those who gave so much for our country,” the agency stated.

Honor Flight Syracuse continues to organize missions to ensure veterans from across Central New York receive recognition for their military service.
