Utica police seek owner of found pit bull mix near VanVorst and Holland

UTICA, N.Y. — The Utica Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the owner of a brown and white pit bull mix found near the intersection of VanVorst Street and Holland Avenue last night.

Officials posted on Facebook Thursday morning that the dog was safely recovered and is currently in their care.

Anyone with information about the dog or its owner is urged to contact the department at 315-223-3461.

“This brown and white Pit-bull mix was located near the intersection of VanVorst Street and Holland Ave last night,” the department said.

Police are working to reunite the dog with its owner and have not reported any signs of neglect or injury.
