Man critically wounded in Clairton shooting, Allegheny County detectives investigating

CLAIRTON, Pa. — A man is in critical condition after a shooting in Clairton on Wednesday evening, prompting an investigation by the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

Police said County 9-1-1 received a report of a shooting at 7:01 p.m. in the 1200 block of Marion Circle. Emergency responders arrived to find an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition. His identity has not been released, and no details about a potential suspect or motive have been made public.

The Allegheny County Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Detectives were seen canvassing the area shortly after the incident occurred.
