13-year-old NYC boy missing for days as police continue search

BRONX, NY — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 13-year-old boy reported missing from his Bronx residence earlier this week, authorities said.

Olubunmi Akinwola, who lives near East Tremont Avenue, was last seen around 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, according to the NYPD. He was reported missing within the 43rd Precinct.

The teen is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 125 pounds, with a dark complexion, black hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, navy blue pants, and black Crocs.

Authorities have not released any information about where Akinwola may have been headed or any circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

No signs of foul play have been reported as of Saturday, and the investigation remains ongoing.
