WHITEFORD, Md. — A Maryland Lottery player won $84,503 on Thursday with a FAST PLAY Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings ticket purchased in Harford County, marking the first progressive jackpot win on the $5 game since it launched.

The winning ticket was sold at Saubel’s Market, located at 2902 Whiteford Avenue in Whiteford. As a result, the retailer will receive an $845.03 bonus from the Maryland Lottery.

The Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings progressive jackpot game, which began March 3, starts with a base jackpot of $40,000 and increases with each ticket sold until a winner is drawn. The game also offers smaller cash prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.

“This is our first progressive jackpot winner on the $5 game,” the Lottery confirmed in a release. The identity of the winning player has not been disclosed.

Lottery participants can also enter winning and non-winning tickets into their My Lottery Rewards accounts for a chance to be selected as a Contestant of the Game in the game’s second-chance promotion.
