Jackson Heights man stabbed repeatedly, in critical condition

QUEENS, N.Y. — A 32-year-old man was fatally stabbed Saturday night in Jackson Heights, prompting a homicide investigation by the NYPD, officials said.

At approximately 7:42 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in progress near 34th Avenue and 96th Street, within the confines of the 115th Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with multiple stab wounds throughout his body.

Emergency Medical Services transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was listed in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.

The NYPD stated that the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

As of Sunday, detectives from the 115th Precinct and NYPD’s Queens Homicide Squad are canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance footage.
