Armed robbery reported near Dupont Circle, suspects flee east on T Street

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Sunday night in the 1800 block of 18th Street NW, near the Dupont Circle area, according to a crime alert issued by the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident was reported at approximately 10:37 p.m. on May 11. Authorities said two Black male suspects, both wearing all black clothing, approached the victim. One of the suspects was armed with a black handgun.

Following the robbery, both suspects were last seen fleeing eastbound on T Street NW. No injuries or additional details about the incident have been released.

Police seek public’s help as robbery suspects remain at large

Officers from the 3rd District responded to the scene and have launched an investigation. The MPD is urging anyone with information about the incident to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411.

The robbery adds to a growing number of reported armed incidents in the area, and police continue to canvass the neighborhood for surveillance footage and witnesses.
