WASHINGTON, D.C. — A teenage boy and two adult men were hospitalized early Sunday morning after being shot in Northwest Washington, D.C., one of four shootings reported across the city overnight.
The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. on May 11 in the 1900 block of 9th Street NW. Officers patrolling the area of 9th and U streets heard gunfire and rushed toward the scene, where they found three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders transported the victims to local hospitals. Police said the 17-year-old boy sustained serious injuries, while the two adult men are expected to survive after being treated for non-life-threatening wounds.
No arrests yet as detectives probe violent night across the city
It remains unclear whether the three victims knew one another. Authorities have not released suspect information and confirmed no arrests have been made as of Sunday morning.
This incident was part of a violent night in the District, where four separate shootings were reported, leaving multiple individuals wounded. Two of those shootings occurred around midnight, and another shortly after 3:30 a.m. on H Street NW injured two more victims.
