BELLE VERNON, PA — A Pennsylvania Lottery player is now a multimillionaire after purchasing a winning 3s a Charm scratch-off ticket worth $3 million at a convenience store in Westmoreland County, officials announced Monday.

The ticket was sold at the Exxon located at 900 Rostraver Road in Belle Vernon. As a result, the retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the top-prize-winning ticket.

The 3s a Charm scratch-off is a $30 game that offers multiple prize tiers, including several top prizes of $3 million. The Pennsylvania Lottery does not know where winning tickets will be sold in advance; winning locations are only revealed once the prize is claimed.

Winner urged to sign ticket and claim prize promptly

Lottery officials remind all players that scratch-off prizes must be claimed within one year of the game’s official end-sale date, which can be found at palottery.com. Players are advised to sign the back of their winning tickets and contact the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481 for instructions on claiming their prize.

All prizes over $5,000 are subject to applicable taxes and withholdings under Pennsylvania law.
