TRENTON, N.J. — A Union County resident has won the top prize in the Cash 4 Life lottery game, opting for a one-time $7 million lump sum payout, lottery officials announced Thursday.
The winning ticket, sold at Quick Stop Deli & Grill located at 1723 Stuyvesant Avenue in Union Township, matched all five white balls and the Cash Ball in the Wednesday, May 14 drawing. The winning numbers were 02, 16, 30, 42, 55, and Cash Ball 03.
The $7 million win marks the second-largest New Jersey Lottery prize this year, following a $32 million Pick-6 jackpot claimed in Ocean County in January. It is also the first time since April 2023 that a New Jersey player has won the top Cash 4 Life prize.
Quick Stop Deli & Grill will receive a $30,000 retailer bonus for selling the winning ticket.
In addition to the jackpot winner, 8,396 other players won a combined $48,144 in prizes in the same drawing. Of those, 2,497 tickets had the Doubler add-on feature, doubling their non-jackpot winnings.
Cash 4 Life offers two lifetime jackpot options: $1,000 a day for life or a lump sum payment, and a second-tier prize of $1,000 a week for life, with a $1 million lump sum option.
