AKRON, Ohio — A Pick 5 ticket purchased for just $1 at Delia Market in Akron turned into a $50,000 jackpot for one lucky player in the May 9 evening drawing.

Walter, the winner, matched all five numbers — 3-2-4-7-0 — in exact order to claim the game’s top prize. After required federal and state tax withholdings, he will receive approximately $36,000.

The odds of matching all five Pick 5 numbers in exact order are 1 in 100,000. The winning ticket was sold at Delia Market, located at 964 Delia Avenue in Akron.

This win adds to the Ohio Lottery’s legacy of generating funds for public education. Since 1974, the Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to schools across the state.
