PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Two lucky Pennsylvania Lottery players struck it big in Philadelphia, winning a combined total of $8 million on Scratch-Off tickets, lottery officials confirmed Thursday.
The first winning ticket, a $5,000,000 Lion’s Share game worth $5 million, was sold at Lin Harbinson Inc. (Philly’s Beverage) located at 5840 Harbison Avenue. The $50 ticket offers one of the largest top prizes available in the Pennsylvania Lottery’s lineup.
The second prize, a $3 million-winning 3s a Charm ticket, was purchased at Guavaberry Foods & Drinks at 776 South 4th Street. That game costs $30 and features top prizes of $3 million.
Each retailer that sold a winning ticket will receive a $10,000 bonus. Officials noted that scratch-off tickets are distributed randomly, and winning tickets are only known once prizes are claimed.
Winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets and contact the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481 for instructions. Prizes must be claimed within one year of the game’s end-sale date.
