DC teen dies after being hit by multiple bullets

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A teenage boy was shot and killed Friday evening in Northeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of Meigs Place NE at approximately 6:34 p.m. on May 16 after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found a teen boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

After all attempted lifesaving measures were exhausted, he victim was pronounced dead at the scene by DC Fire and EMS. His identity has not yet been released, and no suspects have been named.
