Man shot in the head, woman injured in Bronx double shooting

BRONX, N.Y. — A 57-year-old man was killed and a woman wounded in a double shooting Sunday evening near East 188th Street and Marion Avenue, police said.

Officers from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call around 6:49 p.m. and found two gunshot victims at the scene. The male victim, identified as Kevin Jennings of College Avenue, had been shot in the head. A 34-year-old woman had been shot in the left leg.

Both victims were taken by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital, where Jennings was pronounced dead. The female victim was reported to be in stable condition.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting as of Monday. The investigation is ongoing.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and detectives are working to identify suspects and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
