Washington, DC — A 32-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night on a residential block in Southwest D.C., marking another deadly incident under investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
At approximately 8:23 p.m., officers from the Seventh District responded to the 100 block of Irvington Street SW following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found an adult male unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
D.C. Fire and EMS transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead after lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. The victim has been identified as Christopher Rashad Riles of Southwest, DC.
Officials have not released any information about potential suspects or a motive. No arrests have been made as of Sunday.
