12-year-old girl reported missing in Essex area after last being seen Tuesday morning

ESSEX, Md. — Authorities are searching for a 12-year-old girl who was reported missing Tuesday morning in the Essex area, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Jakayla Henry was last seen at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday. She is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white shirt and orange camouflage pants.

Police issued a critical missing alert and are asking the public for help in locating her. The department has not released additional details regarding the circumstances of her disappearance.
