Armed robbery reported outside Lafayette Avenue building in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — A 24-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon outside a residential building on Lafayette Avenue, police said.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:38 p.m. in front of 1740 Lafayette Ave., when two unidentified individuals approached the victim on foot. According to authorities, one of the suspects brandished a firearm while the other took the victim’s property.

After the robbery, both suspects fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Rosedale Avenue. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The New York City Police Department has not released descriptions of the suspects and said the investigation remains ongoing. The nature and value of the stolen property have not been disclosed.

Police responded to the report shortly after it occurred, canvassing the area for possible leads and surveillance footage.

Investigation continues as suspects remain at large

As of Thursday, no arrests had been made, and the suspects remain at large. The NYPD is asking for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
