Teen shot execution style in the head in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — An 18-year-old male was fatally shot in the head outside a home on East Gun Hill Road on Wednesday evening, authorities said.

Police responded to a 911 call of a shooting around 5:53 p.m. in front of a residence located within the 52nd Precinct. When officers arrived, they discovered the victim, later identified as Estarling Peralta of 1420 Grand Concourse, with a gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency Medical Services transported Peralta to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.

As of Thursday, no arrests had been made in connection to the shooting. Investigators continue to search for suspects and are reviewing surveillance footage in the area.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, although no official NYPD tip line number was included in the preliminary statement.
