WHEELING, IL — A lucky lottery player in Illinois has claimed a $100,000 prize on the Game of Thrones scratch-off ticket, according to official lottery records from May 22.

The winning ticket was purchased at Branford News and Variety in Branford. This high-tier prize comes from a themed scratch-off game inspired by the hit television series Game of Thrones, which has been featured in multiple state lottery promotions.

The $100,000 win marks one of the top prizes available in the licensed instant game. The identity of the winner has not been disclosed, as Illinois Lottery winners are not named publicly unless they choose to come forward.

Players have one year from the date of the draw or ticket purchase to claim their winnings in the state of Illinois.
