Double whammy as Bronx and Kirkwood players rake in lottery wins

ALBANY, NY — Two lucky TAKE 5 players scored top-prize tickets in Saturday night’s drawing, with winning slips sold in both the Bronx and Kirkwood, according to the New York Lottery.

The May 24 evening draw awarded each winner $16,639. One ticket was purchased at Halal Deli Mart, located at 1475 West Ave in the Bronx. The second was sold at Schneider’s Market, 869 US Route 11 in Kirkwood.

The TAKE 5 game draws numbers twice daily from a pool of 1 through 39, with live broadcasts at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Players have one year from the draw date to claim any prize.

No additional winners were reported for this draw. The identities of the winners have not been released.
