VANDALIA, Ohio — A New Carlisle resident is celebrating a major lottery win after claiming the top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s $2,000,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off ticket, officials announced Wednesday.

The winner, who chose the game’s $1 million cash option over the annuity payout of $80,000 per year for 25 years, purchased the lucky $20 ticket at Speedway #9616, located at 830 E. National Road in Vandalia.

After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, the winner will receive a lump sum of $720,000.
