Akron firefighters rescue trapped baby goose from storm sewer

AKRON, Ohio – A baby goose was rescued from a storm sewer Tuesday afternoon after a concerned citizen flagged down an Akron police officer for help, the department announced on social media.

The gosling had fallen into the sewer while walking with its family. The officer on scene immediately called the Akron Fire Department, which responded within minutes.

Firefighters safely removed the sewer cover and retrieved the trapped bird. The gosling quickly ran to its waiting mother, reuniting safely with its family.
