Baltimore man survives pre-dawn ambush on West Belvedere

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 40-year-old man is recovering after being shot early Wednesday morning in Northwest Baltimore, according to police.

The incident occurred around 3:24 a.m. in the 4100 block of West Belvedere Avenue. Northwest District patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to a local hospital. Authorities say he is expected to survive.
