Glen Burnie street fight ends in stabbing Saturday night

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a first-degree assault after a 22-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation Saturday evening in the 500 block of Glen Court.

According to the Western District, officers were dispatched at approximately 6:20 p.m. on May 31 for reports of a stabbing outside a residence. Investigators determined that the victim had been involved in a physical altercation with another male when a third individual intervened and stabbed the victim in the torso using an unknown object.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is being treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening.

As of Monday, no arrests had been made and the identity of the suspect remains unknown. Authorities have not disclosed the motive for the confrontation or whether the individuals involved were acquainted.
