Asbury Park Man Charged in West Long Branch Bank Robbery

FREEHOLD, NJ — A Monmouth County man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery at a TD Bank branch in West Long Branch, authorities announced Saturday.

Michael Miranda, 48, of Asbury Park, faces one count of second-degree robbery. According to investigators, the incident occurred Monday at approximately 8:46 a.m., when an adult male entered the bank on Parker Road and handed a note to the teller demanding cash. No weapon was displayed. The individual took back the note and fled the scene with $825.

Following an investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau, the FBI Red Bank Office, and the West Long Branch Police Department, Miranda was identified as the suspect. He was taken into custody without incident on Wednesday and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
