One hospitalized after overnight shooting in Rockville, person of interest in custody

ROCKVILLE, Md. — Police in Rockville are investigating a shooting that left one person hospitalized Thursday, authorities said.

According to the Rockville City Police Department, officers responded to the 600 block of Blandford Street, where the incident took place. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim’s condition has not been disclosed.

Police confirmed that a person of interest is in custody in connection with the shooting. No charges have been announced at this time.

The investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives continue to gather information and process the scene.
