Man shot and killed during altercation inside Duquesne nightclub

DUQUESNE, PA — Allegheny County police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Friday night inside a Duquesne nightclub.

Authorities said County 9-1-1 received reports of a shooting at 11:48 p.m. in the 700 block of Grant Avenue. First responders arriving at the scene located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds inside the Safari Club.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a physical altercation inside the club led to the shooting. Detectives with the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit have initiated the investigation.
