Police seek woman who robbed Brooklyn spa worker at knifepoint

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The NYPD is searching for a woman who allegedly robbed a Brooklyn spa employee at knifepoint after receiving a facial treatment last month, police said.

The incident occurred on Friday, May 16, at approximately 2:20 p.m. inside a commercial establishment located at 1304 Fulton Street, within the 79th Precinct. According to police, the unidentified woman received a facial treatment but refused to pay when asked for payment.

Instead, the suspect displayed a knife and took $400 from a 48-year-old female employee, authorities said. The woman then fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported in connection with the robbery.

Police described the suspect as a female last seen wearing a red bonnet over her hair and a black hooded sweatshirt. The NYPD has released an image of the woman and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying her.
