NEW CITY, N.Y. — Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh participated in the 3rd annual Pride Justice Awards, leading the Pledge of Allegiance during the ceremony hosted by the 9th Judicial District.
The event was led by Judge David Fried of the New York State Court of Claims and Administrative Judge Anne E. Minihan. The awards ceremony is part of the district’s Pride Month celebrations honoring contributions to LGBTQ+ justice and advocacy.
Honorees included Presiding Justice Elizabeth A. Garry of the Appellate Division’s Third Department, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and the Loft LGBTQ+ Community Center of White Plains.
“Pride month is an important time to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community,” the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office posted.
The Pride Justice Awards recognize individuals and organizations within the legal system who have demonstrated leadership and commitment to equality.
