Ocean City police seek help returning veteran’s hat left at local restaurant

OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Ocean City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the owner of a veteran’s hat that was left behind at a breakfast restaurant near 25th Street about a week ago.

In a message shared Sunday, police said the hat appears to belong to a veteran and was recovered by staff after being left at the restaurant.

Anyone who recognizes the hat or knows its owner is urged to contact PFC Zurla at jzurla@oceancitymd.gov or call the Ocean City Police Department at 410-723-6610.

Police have not released a photo of the hat or any identifying details.
