Beachwood opens Mayo Park center as cooling site amid heat

BEACHWOOD, N.J. — The Mayo Park Recreation Center at 501 Beacon Avenue will operate as a cooling center from noon to 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, June 23 and 24, according to the Beachwood Police Department.

Mayor Cairns and the Beachwood Council announced the temporary measure to provide relief during high temperatures.
