WASHINGTON, D.C. — Authorities are searching for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that occurred earlier this month in Southeast Washington, and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.
On Tuesday, June 10, at approximately 2:43 p.m., a suspect approached a victim in the 700 block of South Capitol Street, Southeast. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene with the stolen items.
The incident was captured on surveillance video, and police have released an image of the suspect in an effort to generate leads. No injuries were reported during the robbery.
As of Tuesday, the suspect remains unidentified, and investigators have not disclosed further details about the stolen property or the suspect’s direction of travel after the robbery.
$10,000 reward offered for information in Southeast D.C. robbery
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the robbery.

The case is being handled by MPD’s robbery unit as part of ongoing efforts to address gun-related crimes in the District.
