WOLCOTT, Conn. — A Lucky for Life ticket purchased in Waterbury has landed a Wolcott woman a prize of $25,000 a year for life, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

Dawn M. claimed the second-tier prize from the Lucky for Life draw, which guarantees winners $25,000 annually for the rest of their lives. The winning ticket was sold at Store 40 in Waterbury and was officially confirmed on June 23.

Lucky for Life is a multi-state lottery game offering two lifetime prize levels. To win the second-tier prize, a player must match all five white balls but not the Lucky Ball.

Connecticut Lottery has not released further details about the drawing date or whether Dawn M. selected the annual payments or the cash option, which is a one-time payment of $390,000 before taxes.

The win marks a major payout for a Connecticut player in one of the few lottery games offering long-term annual prize options.
