Germantown Family Ready for Theme Park After $50K Win

GERMANTOWN, Md. — A Germantown woman visited the Maryland Lottery office in Baltimore Thursday to claim a $50,000 prize from the Mosaic Money scratch-off game, marking the fourth of eight top-tier prizes claimed in the game so far.

The $5 Mosaic Money ticket, introduced in March, features a colorful Mediterranean-inspired design with turquoise, pale pink, and white patterns. The winner purchased her lucky ticket at Town Center Sunoco, located at 19738 Germantown Road, which will receive a $500 bonus for selling it.

The woman told Lottery officials the winnings will help cover a family trip to Six Flags for herself, her husband, and their two children. She said they have not yet decided what to do with the remainder of the prize but noted having extra funds available for the children is reassuring.

As of Friday, four of the original eight $50,000 top prizes remain in circulation, along with five $5,000 prizes, 25 $1,000 prizes, and tens of thousands of smaller prizes ranging from $5 to $500.

Ticket still holds big prizes statewide

Players are reminded that Mosaic Money tickets will remain on sale until all top prizes are claimed or until the game officially ends.

Winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets immediately and contact the Maryland Lottery for prize claims.
