NYPD Continues Search for Teen’s Killer

BRONX, N.Y. — A 17-year-old male was fatally shot Tuesday evening in the Soundview section of the Bronx, authorities confirmed.

Police responded at approximately 8:15 p.m. on June 24 to a 911 call reporting a shooting near the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and East 173rd Street in the 43rd Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found the teen with gunshot wounds to the head and right arm.

The victim, identified as Darrell Harris of the Bronx, was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

No arrests as police seek information in fatal teen shooting

There have been no arrests in connection with the shooting, and investigators have not yet released a motive or description of a suspect. The NYPD continues to investigate the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact police as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
