NORWALK, Conn. — Ciera W. of Norwalk is celebrating after hitting a $100,000 prize in the Connecticut Lottery’s Cash5 game on July 1, officials confirmed.

She purchased the winning ticket at C & S Grocery in Norwalk, turning a routine play into a six-figure payday.

Cash5 is drawn nightly and offers prizes to players who match five winning numbers.

No further details about Ciera’s future plans were released, and she is expected to claim her winnings according to Connecticut Lottery procedures.

The retailer, C & S Grocery, will also receive a sales bonus for selling the top-prize ticket.

Lottery officials reminded all winners to sign their tickets right away and review prize claim instructions.
