Three Busted in Killing of Akron 15-Year-Old

AKRON, Ohio — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Javion Fort, Akron Police announced Wednesday.

An operation coordinated with the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force led to the arrests of 18-year-old Jaiden Trone and two juveniles, ages 14 and 15. All three face aggravated murder charges.

Trone is being held at the Summit County Jail, while the two juveniles are at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.

Akron Police Chief Brian Harding credited the Major Crimes Unit and task force partners for swiftly identifying and apprehending the suspects, expressing hope that the arrests bring some peace to Fort’s family.
