York Road Crash Leaves Man Dead as Driver Flees

TOWSON, Md. — A fatal hit-and-run that killed a 37-year-old man crossing York Road on Sunday night is under investigation, Baltimore County Police announced.

The victim, identified as Benjamin Ganger, was struck around 9:10 p.m. near York and Halesworth Road by a driver in an Acura TL who fled the scene without stopping.

Ganger was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators are working to gather surveillance footage and witness statements as they search for the suspect vehicle.

The case remains active while authorities pursue leads in the fatal crash.
