Clear skies and warm temperatures expected for Fourth of July weekend in New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. — After a brief round of isolated thunderstorms Thursday evening, New Jersey is set to enjoy a dry and sunny Fourth of July weekend, according to the latest forecast.

Showers and storms are expected to taper off by 10 p.m. Thursday, followed by mostly clear skies and a low around 64 degrees. Winds from the northwest will range from 5 to 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Independence Day will bring sunny skies and a high near 85 degrees, with a light northwest wind of 5 to 10 mph. Conditions are expected to remain calm into the evening, with a low around 63 degrees.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 87. Winds will shift to the south at around 5 mph in the afternoon. The evening will remain mostly clear with a low around 66 degrees and light southwest winds.

Sunday is forecast to be the warmest day of the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 89. The night will be partly cloudy with temperatures dipping to around 71.

Forecasters report low humidity and steady temperatures throughout the weekend, providing ideal conditions for outdoor gatherings and fireworks displays.
