Man dies after being gunned down on Westfield Avenue in Northeast Baltimore

Baltimore, MD — A man died after being shot late Wednesday night in Baltimore’s Northeast District, police confirmed Thursday.

Officers responded at approximately 11:11 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Westfield Avenue. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Homicide detectives have not yet identified the victim or released any information about a possible suspect or motive.
